Up and coming

Round Midnight- Acting for Camera
Up and coming…

Well, it’s been a busy couple of months for us at Round Midnight with a total of 12 projects running throughout the summer, including a HUGE creative arts week with over 100 young people taking part! It was hard work for all but loads of fun. Thank you to those involved and we look forward to next summers activities!
So, now that summer is long gone, we’re concentrating on new and exciting projects over the next few months:
Claire Downes, director of Raw Talent and Round Midnight is running Acting for Camera workshops for young people at the Foil Film Festival in November. The Foyle Film Festival takes place in Northern Ireland and Claire will be working with casting director, Pippa Hall. Pippa has worked on a number of films including Nanny McPhee, Eragon and Run Fatboy Run.
Also in November and nearer to home, we are opening a brand new Youth Theatre! Clifton Road Youth Centre in Sutton Coldfield has now become an additional venue for Raw Talent Youth Theatre, which means that all you young actors and actresses in Sutton who are bursting to get onto the stage, finally can! We start on Thursday 4th November, 4pm to 5.30pm for 7-11yr olds and 5.30pm to 7pm for 11-16yr olds. The term runs for 12 weeks and will end in a fantastically funny and original performance for all the family to enjoy! If you or anyone you know is interested in joining, the contact details are at the bottom of this post.
But before all of that, we are running an awesome film making workshop in October half term (25th-29th) and we would love for you to get involved! This is a great opportunity for you to experience new things, such as directing, acting for camera and learning how to create and film your own project.

If you want to know more about any of the things that we’ve got going on here at Round Midnight, or you want to join our youth theatre or take part in our half term workshop, don’t hesitate to call us on 0121 440 8188. You can also email us at info@roundmidnight.org.uk.
