Round Midnight at the Since 9/11 conference

Can you believe it’s February!?

Neither can we! January was a jam-packed month for us, the highlight being our performance of Follow Me at the SINCE 9/11 National Education Conference in Birmingham.

The conference hosted school leaders from across the country to discuss how to promote tolerance, and respect for all faiths and religions. As Follow Me examines Extreme Behaviour, we performed a short extract which tells the story of Amy, a teenager who’s obsession with blogging and social media leads to a moral dilemma. The extract looks at how young people find themselves in extreme situations, asking the audience to identify pull/push factors and how these have the potential to lead to dangerous consequences.

We received fantastic feedback following on from the performance and were lucky enough to hear guest speakers including Jeremy Hayward (UCL Institute of Education) and Kamal Hanif OBE (Executive Principal of the Waverly Education Foundation).

“Your performance at the conference was so thought provoking for our audience and helped to make the conference a big success.”Jen Halmshaw (SINCE 9/11 Charity Director)
